Windsurfing: The Dip-Felixstowe
Wind Direction: sw
Wind Stength: 17/25
Surf / Sea State: big :(
Air Temperature: 12
Sea Temperature: 14
Weather: sunny periods
Max Speed: 25.83 (knots - unless stated otherwise)
Distance Covered: 14 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)

With the wind forecast for this afternoon I was in no hurry so Mag and I went on a nice bike round Felixstowe by which time the breeze was filling in.So after a quick lunch I was going to head to The Manor but Steve Carter was already at the Dip I decided to go there. Steve and David Coles were there and the wind was a bit on the light side so I rigged 7m, Steve 6m and David 9.6m (formula) and to start with I was way under and it took me a few runs to brave the rough water in the River Deben, the trouble here is you only have about 500m before hitting the rough water where The Manor end hasn't got that limitation although it is good fun battling through the rough rivermouth and once past the waves the sea calmed down a little on the out side. The wind then picked up and the sea became big and at the moment I am a little stuck for kit as I can only use my slalom kit as taken to France as the rest of my kit is stuck in our garage - broken garage door !!! and my trailor is being repaired also. So when the sun went in and the sea and wind went big and it was now chilly it was a good time to call it a day - Oh to have a flat water spot here at Felixstowe !!!
